The 2025 British GT championship reaches its ninth and final stop this weekend to settle both GT3 and GT4 titles, returning to where the season began at Donington Park as part of Dailysportscar’s Birch-backed coverage by Mo Rehman.

In the GT3 category, 2 Seas Motorsport’s Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss have led the championship since taking victory at the season opener in their Mercedes-AMG.
With three wins, they lead on 155.5 points, 28.5 clear of two teams tied on 127.

Blackthorn’s #7 Aston Martin Vantage duo Giacomo Petrobelli and four-time champion Jonny Adam run identically on the points haul with the Optimum Motorsport #77 McLaren pairing of Marvin Kirchhofer and Morgan Tillbrook.
If Dawson and Jewiss encounter difficulties, the tension in the GT3 title fight remains high.
Hoping not to intrude on the championship fight is the 2023 champion, Darren Leung, who won the coveted Silverstone 500 earlier in the year. He is joined by none other than Nick Yelloly, one of this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours LMP2 winners, for his British GT debut in Blackthorn’s other #22 Vantage.
Lapped GT4 traffic interrupted Barwell Motorsport #78 Lamborghini Huracán driver Sandy Mitchell's charge just before the checkered flag at the opener.
Could he and teammate Alex Martin secure their first win of the season?

Reigning Drivers’ Champion Rob Collard was absent from the Donington opener due to an unexpected medical procedure, so the decider will finally provide an opportunity for him to compete alongside his teammate, Hugo Cook.
Meanwhile, Matt Griffin is still eager to claim his 15th British victory with Spirit of Race teammate Duncan Cameron, and the first for the Ferrari 296 car.

Looking to the GT4 class, Brands marked a key turning point in the championship title fight when the pole-sitter Marc Warren crashed after just two corners.
Century Motorsport’s #71 BMW M4 crew of Ravi Ramyead and Charlie Robertson reclaimed the Pro-Am Drivers’ lead for the first time since the Silverstone 500.
While Optimum’s #90 McLaren of Warren and reigning champion Jack Brown suffered at Brands, the #71 BMW regained the lead on 182.5 points, albeit 5.5 clear heading to Donington.

Elsewhere in the category, maiden GT4 Endurance Cup championship victors Team Parker Racing return with their #12 Mercedes-AMG drivers Ed McDermott and reigning GT4 Pro/Am champion Seb Morris.
Mahiki Racing front their GT3 debut with a McLaren 720S, and after a dramatic fire last time out for one of their Ginetta G56s, their GT4 lineup has downsized to a dual effort.
Mahiki lost another chance at Brands — can they finally deliver a GT4 win?

Like the opener, the Donington decider follows a two-hour race format featuring one mandatory pit stop per car.
Darren Leung will carry over his pit compensation time to Blackthorn from his Silverstone 500 win, as will the #12 Team Parker pairing for finishing second at Spa-Francorchamps.
Donington awaits a fierce finale, with the chance of a fifth different winner to close a thrilling 2025 season. Watch live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel or Sky Sports F1, 4–5 October.
