The 2025 British Touring Car Championship reaches its climax this weekend at Brands Hatch – and for Tom Chilton, Birch Gatwick’s Commercial Director, there’s no better stage to finish off with a happy ending to an action-packed season.

“Brands Hatch this weekend – I’m really excited,” Tom said ahead of the finale. “My main goal is to finish in the top six of the championship. I’m currently sixth, so the target is to stay there, and also to help win the Manufacturers’ and Teams’ championships with Team VERTU.”

A Season of Pace and Persistence

Tom heads into the final round on the back of a year that has shown both speed and resilience. Across the campaign, he’s battled through adversity, delivered storming recovery drives, and proved his enduring ability to mix it with the BTCC’s best.

“I feel like we’ve had a very, very good year,” he reflected. “We’ve had some bad luck for sure, and I do feel like I should be higher than sixth in the championship. But either way, it’s been a fantastic year. We’ve been quick, and I’m excited to end the year at my home circuit.”

Home Circuit Advantage

For Tom and Birch, the finale at Brands Hatch carries special significance. Situated just up the road from Birch Gatwick, the Kent circuit is the closest to home for both driver and business.

“To end the year at Brands Hatch, and not just on the Indy loop but the GP circuit, is fantastic,” Tom explained. “It’s the long layout – a really fun one – and I’ve got all my friends and family coming to this round. I want to try and get a couple of podiums to really finish the year on a high.”

With fans packing the famous natural amphitheatre and the GP loop delivering some of the most dramatic racing of the year, Brands Hatch provides the perfect backdrop for Tom to end his season in style.

Birch Looking Ahead

As Birch’s Commercial Director, Tom’s drive on track mirrors the company’s own ethos: preparation, performance, and persistence. Just as Tom targets podiums in the BTCC, Birch is racing toward its own next chapter.

With exciting announcements on the horizon, Birch is poised to build on a year of growth and momentum. The season finale at Brands Hatch isn’t just the end of one story – it’s the start of another.

Birch’s Take

The BTCC finale is always a spectacle, and with the titles still on the line, Tom Chilton and Team VERTU will be fighting for every point. For Birch, there’s no better place to celebrate the values that underpin both business and motorsport – resilience, precision, and the pursuit of excellence – than on home turf at Brands Hatch.
