Birch Commercial Director Tom Chilton capped off a thrilling 2025 British Touring Car Championship season with a podium finish at the Brands Hatch finale, helping Team VERTU secure the Manufacturers’/Constructors’ title and complete its most successful season to date.
As both a driver and a key commercial partner through Birch, Tom’s efforts have contributed directly to Team VERTU’s twin triumphs — the Drivers’ Championship for teammate Tom Ingram and the team’s first-ever Constructors’ crown.
“It’s been a fantastic season for the team and for me personally,” said Tom. “Ending the year on the Brands Hatch podium was a brilliant moment at my home circuit, and to see all our hard work rewarded with two championships is something really special. This has been my best season in years — two wins, two seconds, two thirds — and we’ve shown strong pace everywhere. Who knows, maybe next year it’ll be me on top!”

A Home Podium for Birch’s Commercial Director
The Brands Hatch GP circuit — just a short drive from Birch Gatwick — provided a fitting backdrop for the final round of the year. With friends, family, and Birch guests trackside, Chilton delivered a superb drive in race one, charging through to finish second and stand proudly on the podium for his home crowd.
That result helped put Team VERTU in the perfect position for the title deciders, with Ingram wrapping up his second BTCC Drivers’ crown in race two. Despite Chilton’s weekend being cut short by a pair of alternator issues, his early result and consistent season-long performance played a key role in securing the Manufacturers’/Constructors’ Championship — by just three points.
“It’s a great feeling knowing I played my part in delivering that title,” Tom explained. “The teamwork across all four cars this year has been incredible, and it’s something that mirrors how we work at Birch — precise, professional and built on trust.”

Shared Values: Precision, Performance, Partnership
Birch’s ongoing support of Tom’s racing reflects the shared DNA between the track and the company’s day-to-day operations: a focus on excellence, reliability and meticulous preparation. Just as Tom’s performance contributes to a winning race team, his leadership at Birch helps ensure clients experience the same championship-level standards in vehicle care and storage.
This year has seen Birch strengthen its role as a partner in British motorsport, building on its ties with Team VERTU and expanding its profile among collectors, enthusiasts and automotive brands who share its commitment to quality and innovation.
“There’s a lot of synergy between racing and what we do at Birch,” Tom added. “Whether it’s getting a car ready for the grid or preparing it for long-term storage, every detail matters. That attention to detail wins races — and it’s what defines Birch.”

From the circuit to the showroom floor, Tom Chilton’s 2025 season has embodied the energy and ambition that drives both his racing and Birch’s expanding operations.
“It’s been a special year,” he said. “Winning on track and progressing at Birch go hand in hand — both come from passion and precision. We’re heading into 2026 with momentum on all fronts.”
